A Packtrip is the ultimate adventure on horseback.  You ride on a solid, experienced mountain horse with your gear packed on accompanying packhorses.  Opportunity for photography and wildlife experiences are paramount making the trip worthwhile.  But if you appreciate horses, campfires, fresh air, this may fit.

You arrive at a Fly-camp set up with Wall tents or easy set up tents for sleeping and a cooktent for meals.  That is just the beginning of the adventure.  From this site, as you wish, you can go on amazing day rides, flyfish the day away or try your skill with gold-panning!  Prepare to pack again to another Fly-camp for trips over six days.  Other camps are more rustic but worth the ride as we get deeper into the high country.

We pride ourselves in our horse string and experienced guides and cooks.  In true Alberta style, we only eat the best of Alberta beef, farm produce, hearty lunches and prepared suppers.  Food helps to make the experience and we celebrate our meals.

Back country experience, common sense, acceptance of elements and a realistic level of fitness is an advantage.  It might rain, snow, horses leave, bears show up, bugs show up...Attitude and perseverance will make the days most worth while.  Don't waste your time in uncomfortable mall-walking shoes and come prepared.

You are welcome to bring your own fishing gear, appropriate license for a catch a release stream.  Try some gold panning, shed hunting, berry picking or taking a dip in some really refreshing high country streams.

Be sure to bring a book for some quality down time and have a camera ready for those perfect moments.
